Tiling a bathroom wall is a bit of a lost art. Yes, we all know that glass blocks are uber popular and give the bathroom that spa look and feel, but wall tiles can take your bathroom to new level with a new look. We're not talking tidy-white tiles. No, bathroom tiles are alive and thriving with all sorts of creative options.

When dealing with bathroom tiles the most important thing is that you use your own sense of playful creativity to turn tiles on their sides and make them more fascinating. However, there are a few tricks that you can consider when rearranging your bathroom tile design.

Pay attention to color, size and shape when choosing tiles. Don't just select a single tile but instead find several different tiles that complement each other well. Create patterns and pictures with the tile.

The bathroom is a small space. However, it's a space where you can make a big impact if you're not afraid to take some risks. Mixing and matching tiles can not only be creative, but it can also be cost effective. Sometimes you can find remnant tiles and use them in conjunction with one another. Comparing and contrasting can be creative and cost effective.

In most cases, when purchasing tile, the dealer that you buy it from can give you a crash course in cutting it. You'll need a tile cutter for the edge pieces, or you can contract your tiling job out to a skilled professional contractor.

In addition to mixing and matching tiles, don't be afraid to go bold and big. Bright colors in bathrooms, which are usually dark can really change the overall tone in dramatic fashion.

Another really cool trick is using a wall length mirror to reflect a wall of tile, thus saving you both time and money when it comes to tiling your bathroom.

Lastly, if you're lacking confidence in doing you own remodeling, bathroom tiles can give you some much needed confidence in building your DIY confidence and resume.
